Training on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
On June 16, in Telavi, the chairperson of "Coalition for Independent Living”, Giorgi Dzneladze, and the expert on the law of the rights of persons with disabilities, Ketevan Khomeriki, gave a training on the topic of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to the activists of Gurjaani, Kvarli, Akhmet and Telavi municipalities and representatives of organizations working on the subject of disabilities.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Advocacy for the Implementation of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" The "Europe Foundation" and the "Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley" are the project's partners.
The activity aims to strengthen the organizations of persons with disabilities operating in Georgia so that they can effectively implement the equal rights defined by the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Advocacy and support efforts against discriminatory practices.
