Concept Paper on Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities was developed in 2007 aiming at forming coherent state policy and priorities that are needed to adopt and implement strategy for ensuring equal opportunities.
The Concept Paper is based on the principles and standards incorporated in 1975 Declaration of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and 2006 UN Convention on the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities.
The Concept Paper describes the following:
- Problem analysis of social integration of PWD in Georgia
- Coherent approach for social integration of PWD
- Key state priorities for social integration of PWD
The Concept Paper on Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities was developed in frames of the USAID-funded project Supporting Equal Opportunities of Persons with Disabilities implemented by Coalition for Independent Living in partnership with Save the Children.
