"Active Rehabilitation and Independent Living Training" Completed
Active Rehabilitation and Independent Living training is over. 16 wheelchair users living in different regions of Georgia took part in the 5-day training.
The trainings were led by trainers Merab Dukashvili and Tinatin Revazashvili, who taught the participants simple, medium and difficult practical skills of wheelchair movement and daily life activities. Participants were introduced to the rules of self-care, independent wheelchair management, received information about personal hygiene, reproductive health and various other issues.
Participants were given lectures on pressure sores prevention and treatment, wheelchair care and repair. The chairman of the organization, Giorgi Dzneladze, informed the wheelchair users about the philosophy of independent life, social and political aspects of disability.
