October 16, the meeting between Coalition for Independent Living and Central Election Commission committee members was held in CEC. The sides discussed voting issues for people with disabilities. Earlier, it has become known that CEC was going to print Braille ballots, because of some problems in printing special frames for ballots, as it was previously agreed. Coalition instantly demanded to print ballots’ special frames for voters in elections, who are blind or visually impaired, in order to protect their anonymity.
Finally CEC agreed with Coalition for Independent Living and made decision to print special frames. This agreement will assist democratic and transparent elections.
