Dance To Defend Your Rights
June 14, People with Disabilities Rights Day in Georgia. Young people with disabilities and professional dancers, around Metro Rustaveli, conducted Fleshmob - danced freestyle and called people to protect their interests.
Although Fleshmob lasted only 3 minutes , It has attracted peoples attention. For now, fleshmob participants are trying to develop hip - hop and modern dances for people using wheelchairs. It is directly related to public awareness about disability rights and opportunities.
Fleshmob was supported by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the frame of the project – advocacy and inclusive development in disability, accomplished by Coalition for Independent Living.
