Meeting with the Patriarch
Members of the movement for accessible environment and CIL representatives met with His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II today.
The meeting was requested by the leaders of the movement who wanted to talk about accessibility of physical environment and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities to be supported by the Patriarchate of Georgia. If the Patriarchate makes roads to the churches accessible, it would serve as a strong example for state or private actors to consider and address physical accessibility problems more effectively.
His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II blessed the members of the movement and expressed his willingness to support its initiatives.
Please be reminded that the movement for accessible environment will soon adapt the road to St. Nino Church situated on Chitadze Street with its own resources.
