President Hosting Homeless and Disabled Children at his Residence
The President's Palace in Tbilisi hosted a New Year concert for homeless children and children with disabilities where the President himself greeted the children in person and wished for all their wishes and dreams come true in year 2011.
“I want to wish you a very happy new year. It has become a tradition to organize a new year concert at the President's Palace. This is not a President's home, this is your home because you are the best children of Georgia. I want to wish you happiness and prosperity for the coming year. Perhaps all of you have made a wish already and if not, you can do it now, it's not late yet. I want you to know that you are growing up in a very good country. Our country has enemies who have saakashvili_2.jpgcaused much trouble for us in previous years and bad things are happening today too but we all must remember one thing: you are all lucky because you have been born and are raised in a very good and interesting country. You have to know that me and you have very much in common. I love being with you. I think children can understand me well and I can understand children too. Everyone of us must unite to build our country. Each of you must have your wishes come true. Remember, I am with you.” - the President greeted the children with these words.
“Bzikebi” and “Basti-Bubu” members presented different performances and songs during the concert held for the children at the President's Palace who were also presented with some gifts.
