Retreat workshop involving officials from State Coordinating Council member Ministries and representatives of human rights organizations took place at Gudauri Marco Polo Ski Resort on January 20-22. The topic of the 2-day workshop was to discuss the implementation status and future of 2010-2012 State Action Plan on Social Integration of Persons with Disabilities.

Executives of the Ministry departments who are described as responsible agencies for implementing tasks identified in the Action Plan were invited to participate in the meeting. The workshop revealed the factors hampering implementation of the Action Plan and described the situation analysis of the status of the Action Plan. Working groups including officials from the Ministries and representatives of human rights organizations  were formed in several directions of the Action Plan in order to focus on strategically important topics of the Plan and develop mechanisms for effective implementation. 

These efforts will not stop with this workshop only and will have follow-up activities. CIL's information centre will keep its audiences informed about theprogress.
