On October 24, an international conference was held between the civil society organisations of Georgia, Armenia, and Moldova through the "Zoom" platform. The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Moldovan, Armenian and Georgian DPOs for Inclusion and Cooperation (MAGIC)", which is implemented with the financial assistance of the "European Union".

The main goal of the consortium of three NGOs is to study the implementation quality of disability legislation in Armenia, Modlova, and Georgia, to promote disability legislation in these countries, and to strengthen cooperation between NGOs working on disability issues, both nationally and internationally.

At the meeting, the results of the research conducted in three countries within the framework of the project were discussed, based on which recommendations were developed for the government.

The chairperson of the "Coalition for Independent Living” organisation, Giorgi Dzneladze, noted that the main challenge remains the problem of law enforcement and monitoring, which is caused by a lack of plans and strategies. The thorough participation of people with disabilities in decision-making processes remains an important challenge.

According to him, it is important that joint steps are taken to create an inclusive, equal environment and to change the views and paradigms by which disabled people are perceived.

The meeting was attended by civil society organisations from Georgia, Armenia, and Moldova, employees of the Public Defender's Office of the three countries, and representatives of the parliament.
