Wheelchairs Racing – Competition between Members of the Parliament of Georgia
June 12, Kutaisi, Solidarity sport activity was held near the Parliament of Georgia. People using wheelchairs and the members of the parliament were participating in the campaign. The main goal of the activity was to support people with disabilities, make legislators take their opinion into consideration in decision making process.
Among the participants of the campaign were Tamar Kordzaia, Zakaria Kutsnashvili, Gigi Tsereteli, Goga Khachidze, Davit Lortkipanidze, Gedevan Popkhadze and people with disabilities from the republic of Azerbaijan.
The campaign was supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the frame of the project – advocacy and inclusive development in disability, accomplished by Coalition for Independent Living.
