Youth for Inclusive Society and Democratic State
On 23rd of August, within the framework of the project "Youth for Inclusive Society and Democratic State", which is supported by "Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings", a training was held in Tbilisi, Didube Plaza to identify young leaders. The training was attended by 25 young participants from different regions of Georgia (Tbilisi, Adjara, Guria, Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti). The topic of the training was the importance of elections and youth participation in electoral processes.
Based on participants' activities, motivation and potential, as well as the results of the training a group of two leaders have been selected from each region, out of which one was a person with disabilities, the second - without disabilities (totally 10 young participants). Selected leaders attended TOT (Training of Trainers) on 24th, 25th and 26th of August. As a result, integrated groups were formed, which will conduct seminars for pupils and students in their regions on the importance of elections in forming a democratic state, participation of youth in electoral processes, advocacy, civil education, elections and its importance.
