Meeting in Kaspi municipality
On April 25, the members of "Coalition for Independent Life" met with the head of social services of Kaspi Municipality, Dali Davitashvili, and the deputy mayor, Zurab Kopadze.
The main topic of the conversation was the fulfillment of the obligations stipulated by the convention and the identification of the person responsible for the issues of persons with disabilities in the municipality.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Advocacy for the Implementation of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities". The "Europe Foundation" and the "Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley" are the project's partners.
The activity aims to strengthen the organizations of persons with disabilities operating in Georgia so that they can effectively implement the equal rights defined by the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities advocacy and support efforts against discriminatory practices.
