On June 15, trainers Nata Bukia and Magda Bezhanishvili conducted training on the issues of persons with disabilities. Disabled activists and family members of persons with disabilities attended the meeting.
The training covered basic issues of disability, existing barriers, and ways to solve them.
The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Advocacy for the Implementation of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" The "Europe Foundation" and the "Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley" are the project's partners.
The activity aims to strengthen the organizations of persons with disabilities operating in Georgia so that they can effectively implement the equal rights defined by the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Advocacy and support efforts against discriminatory practices.
