Project Title: Advocacy for the Implementation of Disability Law
Project Duration: 29 months
Partners: Coalition for Independent Living; Europe Foundation and Independent Living Center of the Hudson Valley.
Goal: The goal of the proposed project is to Empower Georgian DPOs to effectively advocate for equal treatment under the Law on the Rights of Person with Disabilities in Georgia and support efforts to discourage discriminatory practices.
- Objective One. Strengthen advocacy skills and institutional capabilities of DPOs and other disability organizations.
- Objective Two. Establish effective mechanisms for cooperation between DPOs and central and local authorities to hold governments accountable for the implementation of the Law.
Target regions: Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
